Jen Sheehan, CPA

Chief Financial Officer, Senior Leadership


Jen serves as the CFO of AEI and has been with the organization since 2014. She oversees all aspects of the organization and its subsidiaries’ finances, including administering all state funding contracts, the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting to the Board of Directors and outside agencies. She has focused on developing policies and procedures to improve performance and productivity, as well as overseeing the management information systems of the organization.

Prior to joining AEI, Jen began her career in public accounting and gained extensive experience auditing non-profit organizations in accordance with Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards, as well as those with Uniform Financial Statement filing requirements. After transitioning into private accounting, Jen followed her passion and found her way back into the non-profit world when she joined the AEI team.

Jen is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Nichols College.
