AEI takes referrals from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) for Competitive Integrated Employment Services (CIES) and Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) job placement programming. Currently, we work with six area offices in Southeastern Massachusetts: Braintree, Brockton, Fall River, New Bedford, Plymouth, Southbridge and Taunton.


Our participants have a high probability of obtaining and maintaining employment - over 80% of our consumers have achieved successful Supported Employment Outcomes (SEO). We attribute our success to our positive working relationship with our community partners.


New referrals will meet with a member of our employment team for an initial intake to identify their vocational goal and necessary employment support. From there, individuals might participate in work readiness and skills training, in addition to job placement and development services. We often work in collaboration with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) to ensure individuals receive the supports they need.

The individuals we support are interested in working in a wide variety of fields. From entry-level positions in restaurants and retail to other long-term career fields, such as accounting, childcare, and HVAC. Our goal is to match employers with staffing needs with qualified candidates.
